In 2014 he was made an Honorary Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association of the United Kingdom and Ireland.
 
Paul is a founding member and past president of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa (PSASA) (2005-2006), South Africa’s official professional speakers’ association (a fully fledged member of the Global Speakers Federation).  In April 2009 at the Global Speakers Summit in Cape Town, Paul became only the 2nd recipient of the PSASA Founders Award for an outstanding contribution to the PSASA and the speaking industry in Southern Africa.
 
He served from 2006-2008 as the Secretary of the Global Speakers Federation, and 2012-2013 as Treasurer.
