Marks Maponyane

Sought after keynote speaker and MC Marks Maponyane, advanced his post soccer career by working for SABCSport as a commentator and Analyst for local football, continental and World tournaments. He was also an Ambassador for Engen in the African Welcome Campaign in the 2010 World Cup. Marks Maponyane’s off the field career is equally colourful. He has been married since 1985 and is blessed with two boys.

Marks worked for Premier Milling Company, he then moved to Adidas S.A. and Reebok S.A. before he opened his own company, Marks Maponyane and Associates C.C. which source and supply promotional gifts and corporate clothing. Marks has a marketing and promotional background.

In 1981 Marks started the motivational speaking career, since then he never looked back. He speaks on various issues such as Teamwork, Quality, Positive Attitude, Facing Challenges in a Workplace and Safety. Maponyane’s footballing and business background including his international travels are the key to his vast knowledge on these issues. Go-Man-Go has been working for SABCSport as a commentator and Analyst since 1990 where he even commentates at the World Cup and African Cup of nation Tournaments. He was a finalist in the SAB Awards at the category “Best TV Commentator” in 2001.

Maponyane also reports for Radio 702 on soccer related issues. A real gentleman, a man of integrity, a role model that is how he has been described by many people including companies such as Consul Glass, Toyota SA, Nissan SA, Tiger Brands amongst others where he has held motivational talks.
