Stuart Lightbody

Guest speaker Stuart Lightbody has spent over 20 years studying and sharing the art of magic. A South African Magic Champion, Stuart has represented his country at the World Magic Championships in Sweden and the World Magic Seminar in Las Vegas, and has earned numerous local and international awards, including two Silver Ovation Awards at the Grahamstown National Arts Festival, a Weekly Best of Festival Award at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and the Creative Award at the Prague Fringe Festival.

Stuart tours his theatre shows across three continents and performs everywhere from private events on the island of Capri to theatres aboard luxury cruise liners and corporate shows for Fortune 500 companies. His work moves far beyond traditional magic, combining cutting-edge sleight of hand and psychological techniques with an intimate, interactive style that places the impossible directly into the hands of his audience.
