Ursula Stapelfeldt

Elegant, gracious and charming, Ursula Stapelfeldt Chikane is best known for presenting the glamorous SABC3 magazine program Top Billing, as well as MTN Gladiators. In addition ‘Brown Sugar’, as she is affectionately known, presented the Fanta World Chart Show on 5FM every Saturday.

Energetic, quirky originality and sometimes crazy, are the ingredients of her presenter style that caught the attention of the Top Billing producers.

Some of Ursula’s favourite pastimes on Top Billing shoots have been house visits. ‘I love seeing how the homeowners respect and love their private spaces.’ Just as much as the homes, she enjoys attending the weddings. ‘No two brides have ever been remotely alike, but every one of them has been insanely, beautifully calm before the big day.’ Ursula also luxuriates in her travels – ‘My love of travel has me packed and ready to trot the globe at a moments’ notice. I’ve seen just about every major city on offer and filled seven passports with thrilling memories. How’s that for an abundant blessing!’

These days Ursula is as much at home in some of the country’s most glorious abodes, as she is on board a plane, jetting off on various exciting assignments.

She has also hosted numerous high profile events such as Miss South Africa Pageant, the Presidential Sport Awards, and countless corporate functions, and was a presenter on 5FM for 10 years, and guest presenter on Radio Express in Los Angeles, California.
