Setup Time:
Setup Time:
- Time must be provided for equipment setup, sound check and AV check: 20 minutes is required if it’s for a Talk and 45 minutes if it’s for The Mentalist Experience (which is a show).
- The setup must be done either before the audience arrives or during a break in the program, e.g. a lunch break.
Performance Area:
- Performance area must measure a minimum of 3m wide by 2m deep.
- The space must be clear of all lecterns, cables, speakers, band or DJ equipment not belonging to Gilan Gork.
- This may or may not need to be a raised platform, as long as Gilan will be visible from all seats.
- Audience must be positioned in front of the stage, a minimum of 2m in front of Gilan.
- Theatre or cabaret style round table seating is acceptable. Sufficient space must be provided for Gilan to be able to move on or off stage and for audience members to be able to access the stage easily.
Technical Requirements:
- Lighting: The room must be lit enough for audience members to be able to read writing made on an A4 clip board with a thick marker. Please advise if any special lighting rigs will be available so that we can make use of certain special effects to enhance the production value.
- Microphone: Two microphones are required as follows: A wireless head microphone for Gilan to wear (The preferred type is a flesh-coloured Countryman microphone); A wireless handheld microphone on a stand will also be required.
- AV & Multimedia: Gilan’s presentation utilizes sound and video. An adequate PA system and screen(s)/projector(s) are therefore required.
- Technical Workspace: Enough space must be provided for Gilan’s technical director to set up his laptop. A plug point must be provided for the laptop with both a 3-pin and 2-pin option/adaptor. The perfomance area (see above for ‘performance area’ notes) must be visible from the technical workspace and the technical workspace must not be inside the performance area.
- Cables/ Audio: Audio from our laptop must be connected to the main sound mixing board.
- Cables/ Video: Video from the laptop must be connected to the screen(s)/projector(s) by VGA cable.
- Note on Cabling: Both the sound cable and the VGA cable must be located at the technical workspace (see point above on ‘technical workspace’) as we run both sound and video off one laptop.
- Live Camera Feed: For larger audiences it is recommended to have a live camera to projector video feed for any close-up shots. If a camera feed is used then it’s imperative that a Seamless Switched must be used too into which our laptop can connect.
Hospitality:
If Gilan Gork and any of his crew must be on-site more than 2 hours prior to the show then The Client will provide meals and refreshment. In addition, a bottle of Still Mineral Water should be available for Gilan Gork for during his performance.
