Allon Raiz is the founder and CEO of Raizcorp, the only privately held, unfunded, profitable business incubator on the African continent, supporting in excess of 500 businesses.
 
Allon is the author of two bestselling entrepreneurial books, Lose the Business Plan and What to Do When You Want to Give Up. He has also hosted a radio show and written and hosted a prime time reality TV show, both in the field of entrepreneurship. Allon has also created and published an ongoing entrepreneurial cartoon strip, Carlson Dudtz: Avoiding the 96%.
 
Allon is the co-founder of the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation South Africa and Rural Roots, and sits on the advisory and judging boards of numerous local and international NGOs and entrepreneurial awards. Allon’s passion and focus on the development of entrepreneurs attracted the attention of the World Economic Forum (WEF) which, on 11 March 2008, awarded Allon as a Young Global Leader.
 
As an accomplished international speaker, Allon was invited to speak at the 2011 WEF Annual Meeting, held in Davos, Switzerland. In 2011, Allon was invited to become a member of the WEF’s Global Agenda Council on Fostering Entrepreneurship, making him one of 15 recognised global experts in this field.
 
On 26 April 2013, Allon received the Entrepreneur of 2013 Award at the 12th Annual Oliver Transformation and Empowerment Awards, recognised as South Africa’s most influential empowerment award.
 
In March 2014, Allon was invited as a guest lecturer at Oxford University, where he was subsequently recognised as the Oxford University Saïd Business School’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence.

In Quarter 3 and 4 of 2015, Allon was invited to speak at various events across South Africa and Africa.
 
Kenya
In July, Allon was invited by The White House on behalf of President Barack Obama to speak at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Kenya, which was an incredible honour, and saw Allon discuss and debate the current and future state of Entrepreneurship on the continent.
 
Gabon
On the 27th of August Allon was invited by The New York Forum to speak at the Africa Forum in Libreville Gabon, where Allon was part of a Panel Discussion address the topic of entrepreneurship in the energy sectors or Africa.
 
South Africa
In his home country, Allon spoke at 11 events, including private corporate functions, as well as various large public events such as the National Small Business Chamber’s My Business Expo in Port Elizabeth and Cape Town, the ABSA Enterprise Development conference, and Leader Ex to name just a few.

2016 – What was and what is

Oxford
Since 2014, Allon has guest lectured every year at Oxford University, where he is recognised as the Oxford University Saïd Business School’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence. In 2016, Allon hosted a Master Class on the topic of entrepreneurship for the Oxford University’s MBA candidates.
 
University College Dublin
Allon hosted the University College Dublin’s MBA class at Raizcorp’s offices, where he provided insight into business incubation in an African context, and how we can use entrepreneurship as a driver for economic stability and growth.
