Profile:
TiMO ODV, the name on everyone’s lips and the voice no one can get enough of. The man behind the gold-selling single ‘Save Me’, has his
eyes firmly set on cementing the name ‘TiMO ODV’ in history as a dominating force in Dance Music.

Born Timothy Oude Vrielink, this Singer/ Songwriter/ Producer is at the forefront of a new movement in Electronic Dance Music in South Africa. Typically dominated by African rhythms, deep house in South Africa has had the life breathed back into it, to catapult it into the mainstream by his signature bassline melodies and moving vocals. Having grown up in Kempton Park, Johannesburg, music was not his
first choice until one day he woke up and decided it was ultimately his calling. Attending sound engineering college briefly, he quickly realized
that there was more value in spending the countless hours he would’ve spent doing assignments and projects, sitting in his studio writing music and exploring the world of the internet for insight.

It wasn’t long until he appeared on the radar of influential label managers in South Africa, and within a few short months, was signed as a full artist to Universal Music South Africa. His debut single on Universal ‘Save Me’ was released on 20 February 2015 and featured long-time friend and singer, Sarah Jackson, to accompany the sweet harmony of his signature vocal timbre. The song’s meteoric success saw it peak on almost every chart in South Africa and was awarded Gold Status by the Recording Industry of South Africa in August 2015. ‘Save Me’ was also acknowledged as one of the most played songs on South African radio of 2015 and has collectively racked in over 3 million streams worldwide.

With much anticipation and expectation, his second single ‘Find My Way’ was released 14 August 2015 and it stayed true to his promise of
both production quality and powerful vocal delivery. Driven by the hype around the young artist’s previous success, the single dominated the
Main iTunes chart in South Africa on it’s release date, as well as managing to match the success of ‘Save Me’ on South African radio with
#1’s across the board and even the #1 position as the Most Shazamed song in South Africa.

2016 saw the release of his third single, ‘I Need You’. A slightly darker production with a bass-heavy chorus and detuned choral vocals, the
song delivered yet again on his promise of quality deep house beats infused with expertly crafted lyrics and vocal melodies. Having only been around for the better part of a year, the many years to come look full of promise for this talented artist who has his eyes firmly set on becoming a leading name in Dance Music and taking his wellcrafted songwriting skills and top notch production to the rest of the
world.
