In addition to being one of the country’s leading commentators, he is also a sought-after political consultant who has done work for several local and international companies. He previously served as a political analyst for Nedbank Capital. Mashele has taught political science at the University of Pretoria and was once a speechwriter in the Presidency under former President Thabo Mbeki. Mashele has co-authored the best-selling book, The Fall of the ANC: What Next? He has also written The Outsider: The Biography of Herman Mashaba, and The Death of Our Society. Mashele has a Master’s degree in Political Science from Rhodes University.
